We finally got our first look at the PS5 UI, after Sony “shadow dropped” a blog post detailing some of the new features and looks of the UI. Along with the Blog Post came a 13-minute long video, voiced by Sid Shuman.
Its been a long time coming, and Sony showed of some new features.
Like quick loading games, we got to see Sackboy and Destruction All Stars being loaded in mere seconds – and even more impressive is the fact that we can jump straight into levels from the main menu.
The UI also has an integrated % Complete for individual games – and even levels.
We also got to see how smooth parties, messages, and screen sharing works. The main focus of the PS5’s UI seems to be the speed, and ease of access. Things Sony has done aside from what I’ve already said is to integrate help for levels, objectives, and trophies in the UI – they’ve also integrated the PlayStation Store, apps, and games in the UI.
And along with all of that, we also got to see a little bit more from both Sackboy: A Big Adventure and Crushing – the latter of which will get a trailer very soon.
