The much-anticipated game, Cyberpunk 2077 has finally gone gold which means that it’ll surely hit its release date of November 19th.
CD Projekt Red went out on Twitter to share the news that the game had gone gold. If you don’t know what going gold means, it basically stands for a game having finished the base-production, and that it’s ready for certification.
They’ll surely continue to work on patches and eventual DLC. But it’s great to hear that the game is ready for its launch on November 19th.
We also know that CD Projekt Red is working on an official next-generation update for the game, which will launch sometime next year. We’ll also see a lot of post-launch support, as we did for the Witcher 3.
Recently we got the news that the game won’t be as long as the Witcher 3 was, which was critiqued by some – and loved by me. As you might’ve seen, the game is one of the MarsipanGames most desired games list.
It’s also worth bringing up that we recently got official word that CD Projekt Red went into mandatory crunch, 6 work days every week to finish the development. Something that the heads of the studio promised that they would stop doing in the future. I hope for the sake of the developers, that the fact that the game has gone gold means that they can soon go back to regular work days. (It’s worth bringing up that they’re surely working on multiple day one fixes)
We’re almost there. Wake the fuck up Samurai, we have a city to burn!
