Prince of Persia Remake Might Be Announced At Ubisoft Forward Next Week

A few weeks ago the Guatemalan retailer Max might have leaked the existance of a Prince of Persia Remake and its release date, November 2020. It didn’t create a lot of shockwaves throughout the industry since similar things happen from time to time without actually being true. (For example, there’s always GTA VI Retailer listings because we just assume Rockstar is working on it)

However, interestingly enough, Bloomberg Writer Jason Schreier recently spoke on Episode 19 of his podcast, the Triple Click Podcast (By the way, check it out. Great podcast and group of people) and around the 26:50 Minute mark Schreier say the following

They had been planning, before any of this, they had been planning a new Ubisoft Forward. Like a stream, where they were gonna announce a bunch of games like the Prince of Persia remake that was leaked a couple weeks ago” he continues talking while kind of laughing together with his co-hosts.

At face value, someone saying this in their podcast might not seem like much, however Jason Schreier have one of the best track records of anyone regarding Industry Knowledge and insight. If he says it, Im led to believe that its true.

This would also lead to an absolutely insane time for Ubisoft, whom in a span of a few months would release Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Watch_Dogs Legion, Prince of Persia (Rumoured), Immortals: Fenyx Rising (Rumoured December launch) and Far Cry 6.
Absolutely stacked. And it’ll be interesting to see how Prince of Persia does if it launches close to Assassin’s Creed, since there are some similarities around the franchises.

Even though there has been recent controversy regarding Ubisoft, once again, I’m kind of excited for the Ubisoft Forward since we’re confirmed to see Immortal’s Fenyx Rising (Which recently made the MarsipanGames Desire List) and the fact that we’re now rumoured to see Prince of Persia.
